Similar to Real Stories, Fake News Spreading MalwareSecurity Researchers and Analysts at PandaLabs reported that a fictitious news story involving Fernando Alonso, Formula One star, is being utilized to spread a newly found banking Trojan named Trj/Banker.LGC, across the net. The fabricated news story that is supposedly published by El Pais, a Spanish daily, said that Alonso who won the car racing championship twice was seriously injured when he met with an accident on July 22, 2008 in the city of Bilbao. As per PandaLabs Researchers and Analysts, the phony news story is being sent out via spam mails, depicting a spectacular burning in a video film included as a link in the e-mail.
