Moderately Critical Vulnerability Found in OpenOfficeIt is reported that vulnerability has been found in OpenOffice, an Office application package with diverse platforms, which malicious people could potentially exploit to take over a user's computer. Security experts state that an error of numeric truncation has been found in the recent version of OpenOffice's memory provider. If a victim opened the specially crafted file, it could enable the attacker to use this vulnerability to crash OpenOffice.org or possibly run an arbitrary code. The security specialists also disclosed that the problem apparently impacts only the 64-bit version of OpenOffice.
