BitDefender Releases Top Virus Threats During August 2008As per the Security Researchers at BitDefender, a security firm, in August 2008, users were attacked mostly by trojans instead of any other form of virus. The list of the top 10 e-threats in August 2008 by BitDefender was occupied by Web-based threats in the US. The threat list reveals that Clicker.CM, a dominant Trojan, tops the list with almost 7.38% of the total threats. Further, three kinds of Wimad Trojan installer (a fraudulent codec installer normally found on malicious sites) acquires 2nd, 3rd and 4th ranks with 5.35%, 3.89% and 3.87% respectively.
