Computer Virus ‘Raila Odinga' Ravages Malawi Computer Systems

A virus named 'Raila Odinga' is circulating in Blantyre, chief commercial city of Malawi, South Africa, resulting in vast damages to the computing systems. Security analysts consider that the virus is a complex class of destructive ad wares, computer worms, spywares and Trojans, working together as a single unit.

As per security analysts, the most alarming aspect of this virus is that it is damaging flash disks when left for a while in the PC, and the only cure is to format the USB flash disks once corrupted. PCs affected by this virus failed to open external drivers such as flash applications, diskette or CD's, and began displaying unsafe prompts.
