Most SMEs Suffer Due to Inadequate IT SecuritySecurity firm Symantec has released a research report after surveying small enterprises across Europe about their attitudes toward online security. It suggests that there are fundamental lapses and flaws in these companies' IT security although the companies think they are secured. Surveying 874 respondents in 9 European countries, the research found that although many knew about the common threats like viruses, trojans and spam, yet they lacked adequate measures to deal with new threats, especially botnets. Almost half of them weren't even aware of what botnets were.
