Satyam’s Involvement Revealed in World Bank Network Hacking

Forensic investigators revealed the involvement of one or more employees of Satyam in the installation of sophisticated spyware programs on the workstations of the World Bank, as reported by itexaminer, on November 3, 2008.

The bank has undergone a series of Internet attacks throughout the year, which infiltrated minimum 18 and a maximum of 40 data servers of the bank. In this particular case, the spyware was virtually installed on the computers inside the treasury unit of the bank in Washington.

The first breakthrough in this regard was achieved in September 2007, when the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) carrying out independent investigation of the case. ...
