Fake Site with Corrupt WordPress Blogging Tool Spreading Trojan
According to the news published by TheRegister on November 6, 2008, online fraudsters have created a fake Website that contains a backdoored edition of the WordPress blogging software, and is designed to launch sophisticated malware attacks. The fake site, which spoofs the Website WordPress.org, replaces the last 's' with a 'z' in the domain name.
Also, the fake Wordpresz.org site offers what poses as version 2.6.4 of the blogging application. It might steal cookie content from users who have installed it onto their system, potentially enabling to hack their WordPress blogging bases for malicious activities.
