25% Businesses in Grip of Web-based Menace, still LenientAccording to the latest research - "The vendor's latest State of Internet Security" - by security firm Webroot, though a one-fourth of the firms encountered web-based threat in Q4 2007, but still they are making a blunder of underrating the result of this danger. The report also revealed that the victim companies are still being robbed of sensitive credentials and Internet transactions. Further, it acknowledged Internet as a bigger source of risks than e-mail media that anchors huge volumes of worms, viruses and spyware. Thus, it is posing higher threat to the security of the companies and leading to increasing incidents of information loss.
