Microsoft Disinfected One Million PCs from Malware in Nine Days

According to Microsoft, nearly one million computers were disinfected from fake security software through anti-malware tools in nine days from November 11, 2008 to November 19, 2008.

Researchers at Microsoft said that the malware was "W32/FakeSecSen" that used various names of security software such as "Spyware Preventer", "XPert Antivirus", "Advanced Antivirus" and "Ultimate antivirus 2008".
