Microsoft Warns of Attacks Exploiting a Fresh Windows VulnerabilitySecurity researchers at Microsoft are warning that online criminals are taking advantage of a yet to be patched vulnerability in the WordPad Text Converter, a program included in all editions of Windows. IT experts said that WordPad is a key word processor that comes with all operating systems of Microsoft since Windows 95. Moreover, according to the IT experts, the flaw affects only certain versions of Windows such as Windows 2000, Windows Server 2003 and XP with Service Pack 2. However, Vista, Windows Server 2008 and XP with Service Pack 3 are not affected by the WordPad vulnerability.
