Trend Micro - Most Harmful Malware in 2008 Hailed From Web
Threat researchers at Trend Micro claimed that over half of the leading 100 malware identified in 2008 came from the web and were accidently installed by users visiting unfamiliar or harmful sites, as reported by earthtimes on December 17, 2008.
Therefore, it should be kept in mind that accessing web without security software can lead to harmful consequences, particularly when the growth of web threats has multiplied by 2000% since 2005.
