Microsoft Dismisses Windows Media Player Flaw

Security experts said that there is some flaw in the Windows Media Player, though it is being firmly dismissed by the software giant Microsoft, as reported by TechWatch on January 2, 2009.

According to the news report, experts have been claiming that the bug can be used by cyber-terrorists to insert malware on unprotected computers. As per these claims, the "WMP integer overflow bug" can be exploited to run malevolently created .WAV, .SND or .MID files in order to infect machines operating on Windows operating system like Vista or XP.
