Greater Use of Web 2.0 Create More Malware Threats in 2009

The Intelligence team of Information Systems forecasts that during 2009, the Web 2.0 technology will enable contextual malware to flourish. This malware will consolidate a number of powerful data flows from various unrelated sources to build hostile environment.

The reason for rise in malware threats using Web 2.0 is the increasing popularity of the technology. All types of organizations are starting to use this technology with the aim to encourage customer forums, employee blogs, more use of images and multi-media content, and user-created encyclopedias such as wikis.
