An international firm that looks into the assessment and testing services for CAT, Promeric, stated that they have been looking into the reports that IIM's CAT official website www.catiim.in has been showing caution messages on certain web browsers. malware was found and recovered overnight. Further, Promeric stated if the official website of CAT is not available then another website i.e. https://iim.prometric.com/ is available for receiving applicants' appointments and applications.

While the news has created buzz all over the Web and Promeric has issued an officail statement, it has been rejected by the Convenor for CAT 2010 Himanshu Rai.

He claimed that the results will be declared as scheduled on January 12, 2011. Presently, the website is involved in the process of uploading and testing the results, as per the reports by economictimes.indiatimes.com on January 4, 2011.

But, some of the students claim of seeing the results online, however Rai stated that they might have seen the live testing of results.
