Symantec Warns Internauts to be Cautious of Christmas-Themed Spam Email Campaigns

Security firm 'Symantec' has come across many Christmas-themed spam emails that Internauts must be careful of these days.

According to experts of Symantec, if the recipient looks at the email carefully, it will become evident that no genuine company would dispatch such a poorly-written email.

address, phone number, and occupation nationality.

Victims in case they reply to the initial email, they are asked for some monetary details.
The winners are also told to pay some fees which are presumably required to help in the process of prize money transfer.

Overall, the junk email landscape this Xmas looks sinister and the intention is to exploit inquisitiveness laced with unbelievable offers which can exploit harmful practices by user, unsecured machines and half-baked softwares. Experts at Symantec highlight that the center of scammers continues to be on how to know and abuse human tendencies and then lure users to either hijacked crucial details or visit a questioning web page.

Symantec suggests Internauts to pay attention to judge the legitimateness of the email by taking into consideration the following points: Firstly, are you a subscriber or un-subscriber to such plans in the past? Secondly, is it one of those forwarded emails a good pal has been trapped into? And thirdly, is the email sender, the context and content of the email genuine?
