Lethal PC-Virus Strikes Swedish Internet-Users

In a recent report by SVT the broadcaster from Sweden, a request has been made to MSB (Myndigheten för samhällsskydd och beredskap) the Civil Contingencies Agency of Sweden that handles civil defense for the country's citizens at times of crises for combating one lethal PC-virus, thus published thelocal.se dated May 28, 2015.

According to Robert Jonsson, Security Expert with MSB, the virus is dangerous because there is an extremely efficient way it conceals itself and creates utter destruction. Besides, it is extremely hard to remove that's possible only via the computer's full re-installation, Jonsson states. Thelocal.se published this.

To begin with, the virus uses one fake e-mail which asserts that the recipient of the message has ordered items valuing several hundred Kronors. Just by opening the e-mail message contaminates the host PC. The Trojan compromises the system after which it records every detail such as of banking info or login particulars. If the user subsequently logs into his bank account through any fraudulent site, say, for conducting financial transaction, Internet thieves would steal all funds from his account right away.

Police National Fraud Center's Jan Olsson explains that when anyone receives any receipt describing an extensive value purchase by him, he'll naturally be astonished while tempted to open the e-mail for finding out the real thing; however, it would get tool late by then. It has not been known about the number of people who've viewed the electronic mails, according to Olsson. Goteborgdaily.se published this dated May 28, 2015.

During the last few weeks, Swedish residents have been getting spam mails masquerading as companies like the famous Internet music store CDON and the well-known Swedish Electronics major Elgiganten.

Moreover, e-mails purportedly from the tax collecting government agency Skatteverket of Sweden told recipients about incorrect tax returns they have made. Thus, each of these kinds of electronic mails exploit people's inquisitive and emotional minds while serves the identical virus, outline specialists.

Hence, for not getting trapped with such forms of malicious campaigns, people must first ignore web-links inside unusual e-mails and then for all times maintain up-to-date anti-virus software on their PCs.
