IT Pros Believe that Windows 10 Will Keep Computers Considerably More Secure

In this spring, Redmond created waves by notifying a free upgrade for users of Windows 7 and 8; and at this point, most people, who keenly want to upgrade, have taken the advantage. That is not stopping Microsoft from trying to "convince" more users to upgrade to the latest variant. They have pushed Windows 10 as a "Recommended Update" and some users, who did not want the upgrade, completed with it anyway.

Microsoft is still holding 29th July, 2016, as a deadline to perform a free upgrade to Windows 10.

When you purchase a game on Steam or take a discounted copy of Photoshop on Amazon, Microsoft does not get any commission in spite of the fact that you will use Windows to run the software. Digitaltrends.com posted on June 8th, 2016, stating that Google and Apple receive all types of revenue from their mobile app stores.

The practice is risky too. According to a petition, last week in an extensively publicized case, an anti-poaching team ranger of Chinko Project in the Central African Republic connected how Windows 10 started installing itself in their systems without anybody's authorization. The ranger has posted on Reddit stating that his team task was tracking and coordinating the rangers of anti-poaching in field; and while doing so, their computers got shut down when Microsoft constrained a 6 GB Windows 10 download via slow satellite internet connection of the company.

The creators of the petition fight that the Microsoft do not have the right to forcibly download updates in computers and make them confused to uninstall, yet it does exactly same with Windows 10.

This helps to ensure that malware does not reach your data because you get a double cover provided by both your pre-installed Windows Defender and third party antivirus product. In the present version of the Windows, Windows Defender was disabled automatically as soon as the security software of third-party was installed, however enabled back again as soon as antivirus protection was not available.

The petition does not ask EFF much else besides to do formal investigation against Microsoft for deceptive business practices, and most likely, Microsoft will simply ignore it in any case.
