Islamist Hackers Hijack Victorian Treasurer Protesting Against Attacks by Syria

The group called Tunisian Fallaga Team, hijacked website and posted message which reads "Stop killing people in Syria" with 2 attached hashtags, called #save_aleppo and #Op_Russia.

The hacking involves publishing of dreadful photographs of injured along with dead children, as well as footage of graphic war. As per the message that was posted on website, the attack got launched by "Mr O.Jz and Hetler Tn and Fallag Kill3r"; and this also includes videos and photos of the Syrian attacks which was published on index page. Softpedia.com posted on January 11th, 2017, stating that hackers further embedded a YouTube video showing armed men along with women fighting in war in the Syria.

The page stated that United Nations reported - allied Iraqi military and troops of Syrian government had intentionally shot dead children, men and women in the Eastern Aleppo. The website of Mr. Pallas displayed Islamist content for a short time, before it got replaced with the message saying that official website was "briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance."

Kosmos Samaras, Assistant State Secretary of Labor Party, told the AAP that the anonymous hackers were targeting websites of Labor Mps' for months, after noting that the political websites can be seen as most advantageous to them for spreading their message.

Samaras said: "we're just in the process of moving to a more secure system. If it continues then we'll have to consider talking to the authorities about it"

The Spokesperson said that, "the website was hacked this morning and has now been fixed, work is underway to improve security of MPs' websites." The hack occurs just after a week of Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission website hacking, allegedly by AnonPlus - the international hacking group, which sends the website offline for many hours.

A spokeswoman of the commission says that no demands are made from commission, and thus it was yet to be known the reason behind the targeting by the group. The commission has confirmed that any personal data was not affected, and hackers did not make any demands.

As per the Australian officials, website was restored within 30 minutes; and any other data was not compromised. Authorities of Australia now expect numerous other similar types of attacks, especially against the Labor MPs websites.
