Spam Calls Getting Common Globally


Spam calls such as those from banks telling about new loan offers else competitor operators deceptively extracting information while cajoling to change over to other operators have become rampant in India as the country is among the most spam call receiving nations of the world, states a report.


According to Truecaller the caller ID app, Kenya ranks among the twenty most spam call receiving countries, the origin of the calls being mostly from fraudsters. Over 9 calls from each set of ten that Truecaller and consumers flagged were from con men, Truecaller notes.
