Mac, iPhone Owners Susceptible to Hack Through WiFi, Apple Releases Security Patch
According to reports from Fox Business, Apple Inc has introduced one crucial security patch to fix vulnerability in every iOS device for safeguarding them from a probable hack which compromises the devices from the remote through WiFi.
The tech giant therefore advises end-users that they should load the updated OS for warding off one potentially severe online assault which could erase data from iPhones. The hack threatens Android devices too, but Google launched an update of its own previously in July.
According to USA Today, MacOS and iOS systems can be compromised with Broadpwn wherein hackers can gain control over end-users via certain flaw in the WiFi chipsets of Broadcom. Nitay Artenstein, security researcher from Exodus Intelligence revealed the flaw that lets attackers run random malware on WiFi chipsets provided they are in the range.
