Europe’s most Cyber Vulnerable Cities – Berlin and London

Trend Micro the computer security firm reports Berlin to have over 2.8m unprotected online devices with London following closely with over 2.5m vulnerable gadgets. In Europe, of the ten most cyber exposed capitals, Rome has the least number of almost 300,000 unsecured devices such as printers, routers, webcams, e-mail servers, web servers, NAS devices, among others.

The research involved computing the total vulnerable devices within the most important European cities with the use of search engine Shodan which enables identifying equipments connected to the Internet. The security firm's researchers asserted that their estimations were as expected i.e. both Berlin (Germany) and London (UK) had the maximum number of unsecured devices among the most cyber-risked European cities. These cities are recognized to be technology hubs that have numerous ISPs.
