Truecaller Spots 40 Million Spam Phone-Numbers During Current Year
Truecaller in its annual report published in December 2017 presents an insight of the increase in spam phone-calls over the past 12 months around the globe.
The company spotted more than 40m distinct spam numbers across the world in 2017, as per yearly statistics in the spam-blocking application's report. The Truecaller application that lets people to view the person's name making a call while discards junk SMSes and phone-calls supports 250m genuine end-users across the world, with more than 50m of those end-users residing inside Africa.
Truecaller reports that end-users in totality made more than 10bn calls utilizing the spam-blocking application ever since 2017 started which was fivefold of the calls made in 2016.
