Twitter Accounts of Indian Public Figures Hacked

Beginning from 6th February, one hackers' syndicate that names itself Ayyildiz Tim and claims to be some cyber army from Turkey, infiltrated Twitter accounts belonging to a number of Indian public personalities.

Those Twitter account holders impacted included Pritish Nandy, journalist; Swapan Dasgupta, MP; Ram Madhav, general secretary of BJP; and Abhishek Bachchan, Nimrat Kaur and Anupam Kher, all actors. Currently the accounts have been regained.

During January, the hacker gang Ayyildiz Tim had breached Syed Akbaruddin United Nations Organization permanent representative and Indian ambassador's Twitter account.
