Pakistan's Foreign Affairs Ministry website and several others website hacked

Pakistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs official website along with Pakistan Army website and several others Pakistani websites were reported to be hacked in the night of February 16, 2019, Saturday. The spokesperson of Pakistan's foreign ministry, Mohammad Faisal commented on the incident saying that several complaints from the users of other countries were received by them, in which the users say that they were unable to access the website of foreign ministry. However, the spokesperson said that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website is working fine without any hassles in their country.

ANI further reported that the users of the countries like Australia, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Saudi Arabia are finding it difficult to access Pakistan's website of foreign ministry.

The Dawn quoted Faisal saying that "the IT team is currently occupied in thwarting the hackers' onslaught". The sources within the Pakistan's ministry have revealed to the DawnNewsTV that the hacking attacks are thought to be originated from India.

The website of Pakistan Army was inaccessible as well in the night of February 16, 2019. On opening the website page, the Pakistan Army website was showing up Error 1009. The message that was showing up on their website read as: "the owner of this website (www.pakistanarmy.gov.pk) has banned the country or region your IP address is in (IN) from accessing this website".

These hacking attacks on Pakistan's foreign ministry website along with Pakistan Army website has come after one of the most deadliest terror attack on Indian State Jammu and Kashmir's (J&K) Pulwama district. The terrorist attack claimed around 40 lives of CRPF soldiers on the fateful night of February 14, 2019, Thursday. The attack took place when a suicide bomber claimed to be from Jaish-e-Muhammad Terror group, rammed into a convoy with an explosive laden SUV.

Moreover, there are above 200 Pakistani websites that are also reportedly being hacked by the Indian hackers. As per a Times Now report, 'Team I Crew' - the Indian hacker group - has taken the responsibility of hacking these Pakistani websites and has shared a list of hacked websites on different social media platforms.

The hackers have further claimed that this hacking attack is one of the biggest cyber attack ever launched by the Indian hackers on Pakistan's cyber world. A few of the websites which are hacked also come along the messages like "We will never forget #14/02/2019," "Dedicated to the martyrs sacrificed their lives in #PulwamaTerrorAttack," along with the condolence note for those CRPF soldiers families who were killed in this terror attack.
