Free Web Host Services: spammer’s bull’s eye

Spammers have discovered a method to convert complimentary Web-hosting facilities into money.

Free Web Hosting facilities are especially appealing to spammers due to the obscurity they present and the pace and keenness to create and re-create numerous accounts once one is over.

Internet scammers have extensively exploited free hosting facilities like Yahoo Geocities or Tripod as a method to crack e-mail patches which may then acknowledge their fake sites. But, currently a few creative spammers have started vending these gratis Webpages among themselves, as per McAfee Inc.'s security marketer.

At $25 weekly a spammer can vend 50 Internet based applications that can be utilized to direct net visitors to usually signed sites.

"These 'connection suppliers' produce and keep numerous free hosting accounts for the spammers," described Nick Kelly of McAfee in a new entry at the blog from McAfee's Avert Labs. "They understand that the larger servers are not likely to become blacklisted as they have several lawful clients," he appended.

Scammers utilize the free Webpages with the aim to control search engines, by causing it seem as though their Internet sites are extensively connected.

Spammers are always seeking vulnerable packages and net facilities to forward in their constant endeavor to stay in the lead. The spammers continually modify their forward javascript. The aim is to conceal them from sites and Internet service providers, to prevent pages from being removed. Or else establish a functional code, which operates even when direct codes are barred.

When the free hosting owners are taking measures to end this exploitation, they seem to be waging a lost war. spammers are basically adept at surpassing the servers' security squads. The free servers have been put in a difficult spot as they aren't desirous of keeping out lawful users, at the same time they don't have the technical support to exploit junk e-mails for abused Webpages.

Free Web Site Hosting facilities require individual attention to block their appeal to spammers, and to check the decline of fame produced due to a careless approach towards this issue by a several surviving and erstwhile free web-hosting facilities.
