Bugs In Spyware Doctor 5.0? It’s All Rumors – PC Tools

PC Tools - the anti spyware vendor - is downplaying the reports about the bug in its latest version of software. Users had complained that the latest version of spyware Doctor 5.0 carried bugs.

Conflicts with anti virus packages, slow-ups with Opera and IE7, system freezes are a few of the total listed 41 issues with the new version of the software. Most of these issues were addressed in the 1-month external beta-testing process for spyware Doctor 5.0 or perhaps since the product was released in the beginning of this month, published the Channelregister on 28 March 2007.

Following these reports, the anti spyware vendor will now offer spyware Doctor 5.0 to Google community. Simon Clausen, the CEO of PC Tools, said that they are glad to be a part of the impressive mix of the quality software that's available for Google users. Being a part of this partnership, they're now going to offer an exclusive free version of their spyware Doctor 5.0 for the users of Google Pack.

The free of cost Google Pack edition had provided the users with comprehensive detection & removal of spyware and powerful 'on access' 'real time' protection. spyware Doctor's updated version features File Guard TM, which is designed to constantly safeguard users while they download, work or play, as per Clausen. However, it took no time for the users to discover that the latest version of spyware Doctor carried bugs, Sourcewire published on 28 March 2007.

Michael Green, PC Tools' product strategy VP said that customers had faced problems with the new version of spyware Doctor. Green went on to say that they're taking these problems as serious and were working on partial updates to address the bugs. The updates could be downloaded in the background. This information appeared in Channelregister on 28 March 2007.

The company had reengineered its anti spyware approach and hoped that the fresh version of the software would be useful, he added.
