Hacker Claims To Have Stolen The Manuscript Of Harry Potter

According to the news published by Vnunet on June 21, 2007, the last and forthcoming edition of Harry Potter has been stolen from Bloomsbury Publishing by a hacker.

The hacker, called 'Gabriel', displays messages on the Full Disclosure Mailing List at Insecure.org, which says that he owns a detailed copy of 'Harry Potter and Deathly Hallows'.

J K Rowling's excellent tale of magic and witchcraft was going to be released on 21st July 2007. But, it has already created waves of excitement among the readers who are constantly debating the climax of the tale whether Rowling would kill the protagonist Harry or one of his close friends Hermione Granger or Ron Weasley.

Gabriel has revealed some information on Insecure.org and claimed that it will minimize the excitement among the audiences and make this book boring and meaningless, as reported by eitb24.com on June 21, 2007.

The publishers of "Harry Potter" have very carefully kept the secret unfold about this amazing boy's magic. Though, the official of Bloomsbury refused to comment on the hacker's claim.

According to the news of eitb24.com on June 21, 2007, a spokesperson for US Distributor Scholastic Corp, Kyle Good did not give any opinion about hacker's claim but suggests the readers that they should not believe such claims as he explains that there are many rumors roaming around the book and may be this is also one of them.

Although Bloomsbury has still not made any comment, but the spokeswoman of the company said that gossips about the book are seen on the Internet.

Although it is still not disclosed, whether the excitement about the book has been ruined by the hacker or not, but there's no doubt that his actions has caused a great trouble for Bloomsbury who has continuously tried to keep all the actions of the climax a big secret.

Moreover, Harry Potter has always proved to be a best seller worldwide with the maximum sale of 320 million editions and the expectations for "Deathly Hallows" are higher.

The 6th edition of Harry Potter novel "Harry Potter and Half Blood Prince" was stolen and was later found one month before the official release in July 2005. Two people were caught when they were trying to sell the copy to a London tabloid The Sun.
