Man Pleads Guilty For Sexually Exploiting Girls Online

A man from Harrison Twp referred to as the "high-tech voyeur" used his computer to shoot films of minor females without their knowledge. He was sentenced on 10th July 2007 to serve prison for 25 years.

47-year old Mark Wayne Miller admitted guilt in January 2006 in U.S. District Court for sexually exploiting children and for hacking computers.

According to a report put up in court that Miller admitted he had built sexual relationships with minor girls through the chat rooms on the Internet. Miller used a false name and a photo of an anonymous young lad during his chat sessions to impress the minors and persuade them to engage in explicit sexual conduct facing the active web camera.

Miller watched the poses and maintained records of them. He even distributed the recorded footage to other parties. Miller also called up several of these girls.

Millers' activities came to light when someone in his workplace received a passionate letter with a girl's signature that was wrongly addressed to Miller's colleague.

The small computer company where Miller worked later discovered the hard drives to hold child pornography and also found that Miller had spent hundreds of minutes making mobile phone calls outside of Ohio, according to court records.

The company owner's spouse dialed several of the numbers and based on the conversations found that they connected to minor-aged girls, an FBI agent's affidavit revealed. It also showed that Miller eavesdropped on the web cams of the minors.

The high-tech voyeur, Mark Miller would steal minors' passwords by purporting a well-known Internet portal. He would then hack the minors' web cams, said Gregory Lockhart, U.S. Attorney of the Southern District of Ohio, as reported by Daytonedailynews on July 11, 2007.

When these girls put their web cams online, Miller watched them and even stored the material while the victims remained unaware. When Miller was arrested on 28th November 2005, he was serving probation for sex offense on four counts of low-level charges relating to use of minors in nude materials. After his arrest Miller was in the custody of the U.S. Marshals Service.
