Users Unaware about Bots, Says Survey

Recently, the National Cybersecurity Alliance conducted a survey and its findings were disclosed in the RSA Conference in the second week of April 2008. The findings say that 71% of the Internet users have never come across the term 'botnet', whereas remaining 29% are aware of it.

Moreover, 53% online users expressed that criminals could use their computers to launch attack on a business, a person and a country. On the other hand, 59% users rejected the claim that their computers' security could create problems for homeland security, while more than 20% of online users acknowledged that it was "somewhat likely".
