Forged Security Program Destined to Extort Money: MS Removal Tool

A PC security firm, EnigmaSoftware releases a detailed report on the emergence of a new rogue anti-spyware program, MS Removal Tool.

Literally, MS Removal Tool can be defined as an anomalous and an unreliable anti-spyware application that uses similar graphical user interfaces and maneuverss similar techniques as its predecessor 'System Tool'.

As the tool is based on Trojan viruses, it is enabled with the capability of entering the user's peripheral without prior admonition or consent. Trojan viruses can detect loops in the security system and infringe into the user's interface illegitimately creating modifications on the registry first. The rogue ware typically alters the reg values and inserts registry keys. Once the task of the rogue ware is accomplished, MS Removal Tool is initiated on every instance of boot up by the system.

Immediately after the spiteful application is started, scanning operation in the system is started. The software is generated in such a way that it detects a couple of infectious files that were created by the same Trojans. At this juncture, an ignorant computer user is startled and taken up on turning the computer. With the continuation of this perplexed state of mind, the PC user starts receiving pop-up messages that warns the user about the detected threat. The scammers take the advantage of this situation and charge the user illegitimately to get rid of the detected malware.

Nonetheless, it has been reckoned that the MS Removal Tool is not capable of detecting, scanning or even removing known online threats.

Putting into words, MS Removal Tool maneuvers netizens to take impulsive decision and purchase a fraudulent program. Purchasing the tool only makes it viable to provide necessary information to cyber crooks rather then obtaining a functional anti-spyware application.

EnigmaSoftware has advised users to remove the rogue ware immediately on detection in their systems.

For removing MS Removal Tool, users are advised to destroy all MS Removal Tool files appearing in the task manager. Once this step is over, one should delete each related MS Removal Tool file from the hard drive of the system. It is also recommended to delete MS Removal Tool registry entries and uninstall the MS Removal Tool application through the add/remove program function detected in the Windows Control Panel if the system recognizes MS Removal Tool containing an installed program.
