Spoofed URL for AdWords Users is the Latest Attack on GoogleInternet criminals have taken to attacking account holders of Google AdWords and tricking them to provide their credit card details. To make this happen, they have been spoofing a URL that has acquired popularity during the past few weeks, according to officials at a technology-investigating firm, IDG News, as reported by IDG on May 2, 2008. IDG officials disclosed that the malicious scheme uses a typical attack procedure where spam mails are sent to random e-mail addresses with an idea to find some users having AdWords accounts. The e-mail message tells the recipient that his account payment has failed to materialize, and therefore he should update his payment information.
