Business IT Fight to Manage Security

Software solutions vendor, Shavlik Technologies, recently conducted a survey of IT professionals in which it found that the new requirements of regulatory compliance - for enforcing appropriate technology solutions in order to tackle data leakage, security vulnerabilities, and other similar issues - continue to be difficult for business organizations to achieve optimally, as reported by Pr-inside on May 12, 2008.

The results of the survey indicate the three key priorities as Leakage Prevention/Data Protection with an importance rate of 53.2%; Security of Internal Network with 51.8% of importance; and Regulatory and Policy concerns with 43.8%. Other important priorities include patch management with 38.6% of importance, and the protection of virtualized systems with 32.6%.
