Hackers Closed the State Newspaper Site of ZimbabweThe Herald Newspaper Website, run by the state in Zimbabwe, was targeted during the weekend (May 10, 2008). The attack seems a backlash by some Zimbabwean chatter who were deceiving to "jam Zanu PF Communications" on internet chatrooms. The Herald is famously known as the voice of ruling ZANU-PF party's President, Robert Mugabe, and targeted of the other Movement for Democratic Change (MDC) that gained victory of the country's most conflicted March 29, 2008 elections. Since May 10, 2008 the site, www.herald.co.za, was found to be not available as it was compromised by someone known as "r4b00f".
