New Trojan Spreads Widespread Infection in Just a WeekMcAfee is cautioning users against a new kind of malware that has infected about half a million PCs in a short period of just a wee, as reported by PC PRO on May 9, 2008. Posing as a common media download like the recent Girls Aloud song, also called the St Trinian's remake, the malicious software downloads a codec for the user who wants to play the apparent media file. However, while doing that, a bunch of adware also gets installed leading to a series of pop-up displays on the user's computer screen.
