It’s Easy to Access Stolen Data Stored on Hacker Server, Says Finjan

After uncovering a number of unsecured hacker servers holding sensitive e-mail together with Web-based data relating to a large number of people, Security Researchers at Finjan showed how easily anyone could access the database using Google.

The researchers said that with the help of some simple search phrases, they could find the stolen usernames and passwords, Social Security numbers, and also the user ids and passwords of companies' internal databases all stored on Google's public server.

And while the search was on, Google produced results using log files from the unsecured servers. These unprotected servers held the stolen data obtained with the help of Trojan horses executed on infected PCs of the end-users, wrote Researcher, Ayelet Heyman, in a blog posting at Finjan...
