Web-Based Malware Attacks on Authentic Sites Increased in May 2008On June 5, 2008, ScanSafe, SaaS (Software-as-a-Service) Web security provider, claimed that 68% of all Web based malware it restricted on behalf of its corporate customers in May 2008 were discovered on authentic sites, an increase of almost 407% as compared to May 2007. ScanSafe Researchers informed that the increase in malware was due to a series of attacks on several authentic sites with harmful iframes and contents created for secretly deliver password, stealers and backdoor on visitors' systems.
