Hazards Facing UK Broadband Customers as ISP Interferes

Wikileaks, which published its "January 2007 report" on June 5, 2008, demonstrated the problems broadband users encounter when an Internet Service Provider (ISP) interfere with crude Internet traffic to reap profit for its own.

The report disclosed that this act crashed the browsers of some unsuspecting surfers, while a tiny proportion of the 18,000 broadband clients under surveillance felt they had been hit with adware. This development follows only a few weeks after Charter Communications, the US broadband provider, told customers it was going to inspect a similar system described in the British Telecom (BT) document.
