Sites’ Hacker Admitted Waging DDoS Attacks Using Botnet

An American, 21 years of age, has acclaimed using an army of 'bots' to launch attacks on two volunteer Websites to punish the sites' operators for their alleged unfair behavior.

Gregory C. King residing in Fairfield, California, admitted on June 10, 2008 committing two counts of serious crime of installing program to cause harm to computers, as reported by The Register on June 11, 2008.

King, an irritable hacker who employed monikers such as SilenZ420, SilenZ and Greg707, faces an imprisonment for 20-years and a fine of $ 500,000. This is despite his plea settlement that requires him to be behind bars for two years and to financially compensate his victims. The announcement of the sentence is expected on September 3, 2008.
