E-mail Scam on Floyd Bank Customers Prompts Online Experts to Give Security Tips

According to recent published WSLS 10 on June 10, 2008, a new e-mail scam is targeting customers of Bank of Floyd.

According to the received reports, the phishing e-mail supposedly from Bank of Floyd tells the recipient that his/her online account has expired. Therefore, if the person wants to carry on using the institution's online services like the e-banking facilities, then he/she must renew his/her account with the bank.

In addition, the e-mail message threatens the user of the bank's online service that if he/she neglects the message, then the person would find his/her Internet banking account deactivated and deleted.
