Domestic Computer Users Inviting Hackers by Neglecting System Security

The Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT) at the University of Queensland conducted a study that revealed one in every 10 computer users never updated their antivirus software and around one-third of computers were infected by malevolent programs.

The study highlighted the issue of computer security while using it on net. The study also revealed that one in every three home users accepted clicking on link given in the spam e-mails that could make them vulnerable to hackers attack. Also, majority of cyber criminal activities have a harmful motive of gaining financial benefits and not just cyber infamy.
