Citadel Investment Site Cloned for a Penny-Stock Scam

As per a federal lawsuit, unknown people in China have cloned the Citadel Investment Group Website, established a link to access investor passwords as well as exposed the $17 Billion hedge fund to risk of theft of private information.

The hackers used the link of the phony site to surreptitiously download malware onto the visitors' computers. Subsequently, they dispatched spam messages to the customers to falsely tout the values of certain low trading stocks to later dump them on innocent buyers.
