New AppleScript Trojan Gives an Unauthorized Access to Mac OS X
According to SecureMac, it has found a Trojan called AppleScript.THT that targets users of Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5. The Trojan, unleashed from a compromised Website,is being spreading through Limewire and iChat.
By hiding behind the computer screen, AppleScript.THT allows a hacker to gain remote and full control over the system. Furthermore, it is capable of transmitting user and system passwords and can escape undetected by creating open ports within the firewall and by disabling system logging.
