Viruses Attack Online Game Players

After conducting the thorough analysis of computer malware during May 2008, security services provider, PandaLabs, claimed that online game players are on target of attackers who might masquerade themselves in harmless Trojan, as reported by MyBroadband on June 23, 2008.

PandaLabs Researchers said that currently, several variants of SpamtaLoad Trojan are circulating on the net. But, in May 2008, the most threatening malware was the Rebooter.J Trojan, which appeared non-threatening, could actually launch attacks.

Chief of Panda Security for the Sub-Saharan Operations, Jeremy Matthews, informed that the Rebooter.J Trojan does not spread on its own, but it requires an involvement of an attacking user to reach the hacked system, as reported by MyBroadband on June 23, 2008.
