Spam Mails Costing too Much for Recruitment Firms

Recruitment computers security firm Ulysses IT claims that as employees are sifting through mails to remove spam, recruitment agencies are facing huge cost.

Ulysses IT's Spokesperson said that tackling spam effectively could actually minimize the amount of time employees spend on sorting through it.

The study also reveals that sorting out of spam costs a recruitment agency £392 in lost productivity for each employees every year.

The latest research also shows that out of 4 mails received by companies, every 3 are found to be spam and a lot of time is devoted in reading and erasing them.

As per the security experts, lost mails and data because of inefficient configured filters and blockers that separate authentic correspondence and business also tag a price on business cost. Currently, it has become clear that malware creators, authors, phishers have collaborated with each other and are forming new types of partnerships such as trading or selling private mail details and mailing lists.

Naturally, as hackers became clever, their ways of delivering spam also flourish. The trend of phishing has become more popular as hackers come out with various methods to befool others.

Technical Director, Peter Turner, said that business has become strict for several recruitment firms presently, and they should get the maximum out of their users. Dealing with spam is total waste of money, as reported by onrec on September 1, 2008.

Turner also added that there is not any specific way to restrict spam, but it is simple to handle it effectively. If the users will not see spam, they will not waste any time in erasing them.

Also, as per another research by Ipswitch Messaging Division - a developer of messaging solutions-claims that the cost of spam has touched figures in millions. Spam mails waste the time of employees, resources of company's mail server and put burden on IT officials. With almost 14.5 Billion spam produced worldwide each day, studies shows that spam estimated to be almost 87% of worldwide mails. The enterprise also predicted that almost 58 Billion junk mails would be sent out within the next 4 years, costing the companies around $198 Billion yearly.
