Fortinet Releases Top Ten-Malware List for August 2008
UTM (Unified Threat Management) solutions provider Fortinet on September 3, 2008 announced the ten highest risk-bearing threats emerged in August 2008.
Fortinet said that HTML/Agent.HFZ!phish and malware W32/Multidr.JD!tr posing as anti-virus XP Security Center and XP 2008 occupied the first two spots respectively on the top ten list and accounted for 8.15% and 10.02% of the total threat activity for the month. They together accounted for 20% of the total threat for the whole month.
