New ‘MacGuard’ Sending Early Alarms to Security ExpertsAs per news reports published by vnunet on October 17, 2008, software security company Sunbelt Software revealed that its security researchers had unearthed a Website that advertises an item known as 'MacGuard.' Also, according to the reports, the product 'MacGuard' on sale alleges that it provides anti-virus and anti-spyware protections, and is capable of eliminating adware as well as prevents phishing attempts on OS X systems.
