ScanSafe’s Report Reveals Continuous Increase in Malware Threats

According to ScanSafe's quarterly Global Threat Report for Q3 released on October 21, 2008, the security agency finds that organizations across the globe are facing high risk as employees unintentionally downloading password-stealers and backdoors onto corporate PCs from Websites containing hidden malware.

Moreover, ScanSafe found that 74% of the malware causing damage in Q3 resulted from access to infected Websites. According to the company, these attacks especially pose a challenge to computer users in the corporate world because they are silently waged through lawful and often reputed sites.
