AhnLab Released its Q3, 2008 ASEC Security ReportAhnLab, an international integrated security service vendor, recently announced the top 7 security problems arose in the third quarter of this year (2008) in its Security Emergency Response Center (ASEC) report, as reported by NEWSWIRE on October 20, 2008. And as evident from the statistics released in AhnLab's report, 16,768 new spywares and malicious codes appeared in Q3 2008, 2.6 times more than from Q3 2007. Also, according to security investigators and analysts, this sudden rise is believed to be due to the ease in creating malicious programs and the constant creation and sharing of tools to use these programs in automated attacks.
