Virus Attacks Increasingly Become Common, Says SymantecWorld's major anti-virus software company, Symantec Corporation, has announced the results of its Disaster Recovery survey specific to India stating that 74% of respondents felt that virus attacks had increased. According to the security company, the IT Disaster Recovery (DR) survey shows a considerable decline in higher officials' involvement in planning of DR and a considerable rise in the total number of companies which re-evaluate their DR plans owing to virtualization. It indicates that both physical and virtual infringements have been prime factors driving Indian organizations to review their DR strategy. The results reveal that 68% of respondents are adopting a re-evaluation policy to avoid incidents of data loss, while 54%, to prevent inadvertent/harmful employee behavior. ยป SPAMfighter News - 10/31/2008 |
