Kaspersky - New Malware Detection for 2008 to Reach 15 Million
According to an antivirus vendor Kaspersky Lab, an aggregate of 15 Million new malware is expected to be detected by the end of current year. But the security industry is apprehensive of its attempts to keep pace with the sophistication and scale of threats.
Eugene Kaspersky, Chief Executive of Kaspersky Lab, said on December 4, 2008 that in 2008, the number of malware rose from last year's overall figure of two million, as reported by Vnunet on December 4, 2008.
